A Community Full of Life

Residents can enjoy Atlantic League Professional Baseball games and concerts at the new Meritus Park in downtown Hagerstown, attend events such as the Maryland Symphany Orchestra at the Maryland Theater, see performances of the Barbara Ingram School for the Arts, or enjoy the arts and special exhibits at the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts. Children can join activities at the new facility of the Boys and Girls Club of Washington County. Both youth and adults can stay active at the Hagerstown Field House, a new 114,000 square feet facility, with turf fields, courts, and a fitness center.

For the outdoor enthusiast, the Greenbrier State Park and Cunningham Falls State Park provide a variety of sporting activities. In fact, Washington County is home to 5 National Parks and 8 State Parks. For the golfer, the Black Rock Golf Course is an18-hole public golf course in Hagerstown. The Greens at Hamilton Run is a 9-hole public course that is also in the City.
For the history buff, the Antietam National Battlefield is nearby, along with other historical American Civil War sites. Lastly, Deep Creek Lake, Baltimore, and Washington DC are easily accessible for day trips.
